THE DOG TRAINING EXPERTS BASED IN ALEXANDRIA. BRINGING OUT THE BEST IN YOUR DOG!

"Brianna is the best dog/people trainer I’ve ever worked with. Our opinionated/headstrong/wonderful corgi was trained as a young pup at a board and train and we received a one hour follow up to learn all that he had learned. He was great with the trainer, but not us. Fast forward a year and we had an adolescent pup with big attitude and confusion about what was expected of him. He was biting, jumping, and basically running (and ruining) the house due to lack of structure and confusion. I was at my wit’s end because I read everything I could online about stopping aggression and using treats to reward but our super-smart corgi chonk was a step ahead of me, always finding ways to manipulate in his favor and inflict some bodily harm to his humans. We had the beginning of a serious problem that would only get worse without intervention. We knew Ballou was a special, amazing dog, but that we were not doing right by him. And this is where Brianna stepped in… When she first arrived at our house, I was ready to burst into tears. She asked us many questions and let us ask her questions in return. She watched us with Ballou. She was quickly able to assess the situation and provide us with valuable feedback. Ballou had too much freedom and he didn’t know what we wanted from him. I am not adequately summarizing all that she said, but she broke it down into manageable chunks of information. Brianna is more than a dog whisperer, she’s a dog behaviorist. She is so knowledgeable about dog behavior and made Ballou’s behavior make sense to us. Light bulbs went off in my head as she showed or explained things to me. She empowered us with information and confidence without any judgment of our bad parenting. We had done our best, we adore our Ballou, but we hadn’t been giving him what he needed. She showed us leash tricks to get him to stop pulling. She showed me how to play with him where I was in charge and wouldn’t get bitten and so much more. As I said, she empowered us to be the best family for Ballou. When I hadn’t been working on the training as much between her visits, it was clearly obvious to her, but she didn’t call me out. She realistically laid out how his behavior could look with consistency. Our reactive/poorly trained dogs can be our best friends and we deserve to get rid of the obstacles that hinder that closeness. The reason I was close to tears when Brianna first showed up was because I was so afraid Ballou was going to bite someone eventually and be put down. Because of her, I don’t believe that will ever happen and we all can live our best lives together. Thank you Brianna!!"
